Biased Review!
First and foremost, Captain Kid is about the children, and he pays special attention to the birthday child. Captain Kid cares for all the kids; you can see it in his eyes and his actions. He "gets" them, and they LOVE him. His magic is striking, theatric - wild. There is no tame “Uncle George’s Card Trick” here - just “wild” magic. He captivates all the adults and children! He presents it in a non-threatening manner, and the children are thrilled! This is truly an experience the WHOLE family will enjoy. Really, even teens get into it, and that by itself is unbelievable.
At the end he makes the birthday child the star! YOU REALLY NEED TO BE PREPARED TO TAPE THE SHOW - AND DON'T FORGET THE STILL CAMERA WITH LOTS OF FILM. The kids will come over and watch the show over and over again. Also, you can download giveaways for free, and they really enhance the party. He makes everything so easy!
This is not your normal birthday party for Raleigh, North Carolina! No awkward tricks out of a box or annoying clown jokes. Captain Kid is fully interactive. The children experience a roller coaster ride from glee to awe to hilarity. They believe - and so will you!ƒ
Along for the ride is the Majestic Gentle Giant Parrot Jax! Jax is a HUGE friendly parrot. She does a little magic, and everyone gets to pose with her. The kids really love the experience, and you will not believe how gentle this big parrot is! She is a little scary because of her size, but she is very friendly - so don’t be intimidated by her!
Captain Kid's balloon sculpture presentation is a fun, interactive show that will delight the kids. He can make a flying airplane with the child as the pilot, a kangaroo with a baby in her pouch, a detailed motorcycle, a horse with a mane, a "parrot" (of course!), and much, much more - and he entertains the kids while he twists the balloons! Each child had a different balloon shape! No boring waits for each child to get a balloon as you have experienced with others -- ALL the children are involved ALL the time. During the balloon portion of the show you can see how the Captain used to worked as a circus clown. While making each balloon, he entertains all the children - and the adults, too! (You will also appreciate the fact that Captain Kid does not "know how" to make guns or swords!)
At the end of the performance, he will seamlessly get all the children seated for the cake, and you can take the helm. The kids will love it and it will truly be stress-free.
